Eco-Zoetic Courses

The behavioural side of permaculture.

Most of what Daruma teaches is about doing: the physical systems of a permaculture site. Eco-Zoetic is about living: the habits, culture and daily choices permaculture design has to answer for too.

Three threads run through it so far. We are still shaping these courses into full syllabuses, so consider this page a signpost rather than a prospectus for now.

Traditional Thai bodywork, taught as a practical skill alongside the farm's other hands-on courses.
Frugal hedonism
Living well by wanting less: enjoying what a simple, low-input life already provides.
RetroSuburbia
David Holmgren's model for retrofitting ordinary suburban homes and habits for a lower-energy future.

Where it sits

Part of a bigger plan.

Right now Daruma runs two courses: the nine-day Permaculture Design Course and a two-day introduction, both at Mosaic School. Eco-Zoetic is one of the strands the school is rebuilding towards, alongside natural building, farm skills and food alchemy.

Register your interest below and you will hear when it reaches the calendar. Some courses can also run on request.

Scope is being finalised.

Eco-Zoetic is the newest strand of Daruma's teaching and Neil is still shaping its syllabus. Leave your name and email and you will hear about it, and every other new course, before it goes public on permaculture.asia.
