Your privacy
Privacy notice.
This page explains what information this website handles and the choices you have. We keep it simple because we collect very little.
Who we are
This website is run by Daruma Eco Farm, a permaculture and natural building school near Bangkok, Thailand. We decide how the information described below is used, and we are the people to talk to about it — the easiest way is the contact form.
What we collect
- Contact and enquiry forms. When you send us a message or course enquiry, we receive the details you type (your name, email address and message). Submissions are stored on this website and emailed to the school so we can reply to you. We use them for nothing else, and stored submissions are deleted automatically after 12 months.
- Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP addresses and pages requested) for security and reliability.
Where your information lives
The website and its form submissions are hosted with our hosting provider (GoDaddy) on servers in the European Union, and pages are delivered through a global content delivery network. When we reply to you, ordinary email is used.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
The site sets a small number of essential cookies. When you make a choice in the privacy banner, a cookie called monolith_consent remembers that choice for up to 180 days. Our hosting provider’s content delivery network (Cloudflare) may also set a short-lived security cookie (such as __cf_bm, which typically expires within about 30 minutes) to protect the site from automated abuse; it does not track you across other websites.
Everything else is optional, and nothing optional runs until you accept it. The banner offers three groups: necessary (always on, so the site works), analytics, and marketing. Until you make a choice, all optional storage stays switched off.
Analytics. If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager) to see how people find and move around the site, so we can make it better. Declining changes nothing about how the site works.
Marketing. If you accept marketing, Google’s advertising cookies let us measure which of our Google Ads led to an enquiry, so we can advertise sensibly and stop paying to reach the wrong people. This shares a small amount of event data with Google, which may process it outside Thailand. We never sell your personal information.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Privacy & cookie settings” link in the footer.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time for a copy of the information you have sent us, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — contact us and we will take care of it. You can withdraw your cookie choice whenever you like using the footer link above. If you feel we have not handled your information properly, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority (in Thailand, the Personal Data Protection Committee).
