Seeing a home, garden and land as one connected system rather than a set of separate parts.
15 to 16 August 2026 · Mosaic School, Si Racha
Design for Permaculture Living.
Two days that open the door to permaculture, taught in English and Thai, for anyone starting from the very beginning.
The workshop at a glance
Two days, one clear start.
What the two days cover
The whole method, in one weekend.
Six ideas that carry the rest of permaculture. Each one taught plainly, with time to ask what it means for your own home and land.
The three ethics and twelve principles that the whole design method is built on.
Designing with sun, wind and water, and with the human agreements that hold a place together.
Placing elements so they support each other instead of standing alone.
Mapping the energies that cross a site: sun, wind, water, views and noise.
Arranging a place by how often you use each part, so daily tasks stay close to hand.
Who it is for.
Complete beginners, curious neighbours, couples and friends. It is your first contact with permaculture, and it is built to stay that way: nothing assumed, every idea explained from the ground up.
Taught in two languages
Learn in the language you think in.
Neil and Vitoon teach the same topics side by side. The group can split into two language rooms and come back together, so no one has to follow permaculture through a language they are still learning.
In English
With Neil Willmann
The full workshop taught in English, for international guests and anyone who prefers to learn in it.
In Thai
With Vitoon Panyakul
The same workshop taught in Thai, so Thai speakers get every idea first-hand, not through translation.
It works well for couples and friends with mixed languages. Come as a pair, split for the parts that land better in your own language, and share what you each took away when the rooms join back up.
Your teachers
Two teachers, seventy years between them.
You learn from two people who have spent their working lives on this: one in ecological design, one in the Thai organic movement.

Neil Willmann
Teaching in English
Ecological engineering designer, emeritus professor of applied physics and engineering design, and lead teacher at Daruma.
Vitoon Panyakul
Teaching in Thai
Organic and fair trade activist, working with the Thai organic movement and fair trade since 1991. Founder of Green Net Cooperative, Earth Net Foundation, Organic Agriculture Certification Thailand (ACT) and the Thai Organic Trader Association, and chairperson of the ASEAN Organic Federation since 2017.
Both sit on the IPC16 coordinating committee, helping bring the International Permaculture Convergence to Thailand for the first time.
A door into a bigger gathering.
IPC16 is the 16th International Permaculture Convergence, held in Thailand for the first time. This workshop is an official satellite event: a way for people new to permaculture, Thai and international, to find their footing before the convergence arrives.
Neil and Vitoon both serve on the IPC16 coordinating committee.

Conference 7 to 8 November at the Golden Jubilee Museum of Agriculture, Pathum Thani.Come and stay
Turn two days into a long weekend.
The workshop is enough on its own. But you can also stay three nights in the traditional Thai house on campus, with meals, and arrive to a place already at rest before the teaching begins.
There are only four rooms, the same house the PDC guests share. When they are gone, they are gone.
